Does apple cover broken Ipod touches?

I was fishing on a boat with my friends with my ipod and my friend knocked the Ipod off the boat on accident so it fell in the pond. Will apple cover it?

If you bought Apple Care when you bought your iPod Touch, then yes. Otherwise, I doubt it.
